My skin care routine is one of my most popular questions on my Instagram. I love to talk all about skin care as you will have realized by now!! Testing out new skin care is something I love to do for the blog. Generally I change products every eight weeks. The only exceptions are 1- If a product doesn’t suit my skin or 2- if I love it so much I continue to use it beyond two weeks. A product recommendation from me doesn’t come any higher than a repurchase. I am lucky enough to get sent some beautiful items to add to my skin care routine. However if I repurchase instead of dipping into my stash, it means the product is gold! For this post I am going to talk about my Day Time Skin Care Routine and My Night Time. So grab a cup of tea and settle down.
Day Time Skin Care Routine
Starting the day with good skin care can make or break how well your make up applies and wears. I have dry skin so I like products to hydrate, smooth and protect. These are my recent Day Time Skin Care Products:
Filorga Anti Ageing Micellar Solution
I give my skin a really good cleanse at night time so in the morning just gently refresh with micellar water. This anti ageing formula from Filorga is really gentle on the skin and leaves my skin feeling fresh. I just wipe it over my face using a cotton round. It doesn’t irritate my eyes either, which are very sensitive.
Kiehls Youth Dose Eye Treatment
This eye cream has pro-retinol, red grape seed and vitamin C to help smooth, hydrate and brighten. My tired eyes loves this and my concealer applies beautifully on top. It is easily absorbed and doesn’t feel too heavy.
Sunday Riley CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum
What can I say! This stuff is gold. A serum that contains high quality Vitamin C to brighten a dull complexion and I have to say it really does. I have gone through the whole bottle and I will be 100% purchasing it. My skin felt smoother, pigmentation lifted and my tone more even. Big thumbs up.
Yonka Hydra Booster
I have mentioned this beauty a million times already but if you have dry skin, you NEED this in your life. I am on my third bottle and it has become a holy grail product for me. Mixing it into my serum gives an extra boost of hydration. My skin loves me for it.
Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Cream
Containing two forms of my hero Hyaluronic Acid, this light weight cream gives good hydration to your skin. My face loves this product. I use it every day and I will be repurchasing when I run out. It also contains papaya enzymes to smooth the skin and brighten.
La Roche Posay Anthelios Ac SPF 30
Even in winter I use an SPF on my face. I love this one as it absorbs quickly and has a matte finish. There for you can safely apply make up on top without turning into a grease ball!
Elizabeth Arden Lip Protect Stick
This is a cult classic for a reason. Protects my lips against chapping, soothes when they are chapped AND contains and SPF. Whats not to love?
Night Time Skin Care Routine
This is where the magic happens. Night time is your chance to really treat your skin as it rests and renews while you sleep. You can use richer, more active products here as you have plenty of time to let them work their miracles. Here is what I have been using and what I think:
Sunday Riley Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm
This cleansing balm is so so beautiful. Hydrating, soothing and removes every last trace of make up. I love that it turns to milk which makes it easy to rinse. My skin feels very soft and very smooth after using with no tightness. This is another product that I will repurchase. Is this the beginning of a Sunday Riley love affair?
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel
I use this for my second step of double cleansing. Packed full of vitamins and minerals this cleanser is so good to my skin. It leaves it feeling so clean thanks to the pumpkin enzymes breaking down the bonds that bind dirt to the skin. My pores are so much clearer. I will purchase again.
Image Skincare Ageless Eye Cream
I have talked about this so many times now you must be sick of hearing about it. Currently on my fourth tube and will not be without it. It really helps smooth my fine lines!
Sunday Riley Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment
You know I love Glycolic Acid and since finding this it has replaced all of my glycolic products. It smoothes and brightens without drying or irritation. Highly recommend you try this if other glycolic acid irritated your skin.
Skin Laundry Night Restoring Serum
Full of antioxidants, vitamins and peptides, this serum really helps smooth my skin. It absorbs easily and layers into my routine really well. I’ve only been using this for the past month and will continue to use it over the next month before giving final verdict. So far so good!
Philosophy Renewed Hope In A Jar
This cream is heavenly. Thick and luxurious, applying it feels like a real treat. When I wake up my skin feels so soft and feels plumper. Another product I will repurchase when I finish this tub.
