Huda recently released some new additions to her Obsessions Palette family. I had previously purchased the warm obsessions and mauve obsessions but neither blew me away. They just fell short from what I wanted and as a result I stayed away from the brand for a while after. When I saw Huda post photo’s of the new Topaz and Ruby palettes I immediately knew I wanted them. The minute they came into stock on Cult Beauty I added them to basket and awaited their arrival. Huda Topaz Obsessions Palette
The Topaz palette contains nine of the most Autumn friendly, warm toned shadows with a mix of browns, oranges, bronze and gold. Five matte shades and four stunning shimmers. This palette is so versatile and I have been using it to create day time looks as well as night time glam. The mattes blend beautifully and are easy to build up. A little goes a long way as the pigment of these is fantastic. Applying the shimmer shadows is a dream. They swipe on like butter without the need to wet them with a spray.
Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Palette
What a palette. I do not own anything like this up untill now. Of course there has been lots of pink and purple toned palettes released over the past few months but this is different as it has a stunning red undertone. Just like the Topaz Obsessions, Ruby Obsessions has five matte shadows and four shimmers. The colour story ranges from deep red to smouldering purple. Honestly they all apply like a make up lovers dream and last so well on the eye lid.
Final Verdict…
I love these little palettes. A lot. After the disappointment of the previous Obsessions palettes, these have completely restored my faith. There are purple and green toned palettes available too and I may just have to purchase them for my collection. You can buy them HERE.
