The Born To Run Collection by Urban Decay has just hit the shelves. The brand are known for their amazing eyeshadow palettes and this one? It is a beauty. The Collection has the Born To Run palette, eyeliners, lipsticks and a travel sized All Nighter setting spray. In this post we will focus mainly on the palette including swatches, first impressions and three different looks. Since first seeing photo’s of the palette online I knew it would be a welcome addition to my collection.

The aim behind the collection was to have all the shadow colours you would need in one palette. This makes it ideal for travelling. Some might say it would be the only palette you need! Do I agree? Yes.It is such a versatile palette. You have all of the colours you could need from cranberry, orange, purple, bronze, gold, green, mattes and a black. What more could you want?

Born To Run Collection Packaging

The packaging of the collection is obviously travel themed. Graphics on the products are photos taken from the Urban Decay’s team travels. Each picture is a real photo! I love that idea and the imagery is beautiful. The palette itself is sleek and slim but deceptively heavy. It is on the larger side of a ‘travel’ palette but it contains twenty one shadows and a very high quality mirror. The magnetic closure feels secure too.

Born To Run Collection – The Palette

As I mentioned the palette has twenty one eyeshadows of varying colours. In my opinion all of the colours are wearable and provides you with countless options for looks. The most exciting part? It contains Riff!! One of my all time favourite shadows. Here are some swatches with a little description of each.

Three Looks With The Palette

I could not wait to play with this beauty. I gravitate towards browns and coppers but I had to try some of the coloured shadows too! I wanted to show just how versatile it is. I’ve dipped into 80% of the shadows across these three looks and found the product lovely to apply. They blended well and were just the right amount of pigmented.

To Complete The Collection…

You have three vice lipsticks in the shades Ready, 66 and Marfa. Ready is a beautiful rose sparkle, 66 a mauve nude and Marfa a dark berry that will be perfect for autumn.

Two of Urban Decay’s famous 24/7 eye pencils compliment the collection perfectly. These pencils are buttery smooth and last so well on the waterline.

The travel sized setting spray completes the Born To Run Collection! This spray is one of the best on the market and I have repurchased it several times over.
