BalmJour are the new Lip products from The Balm. I for one love a new release from The Balm. The packaging is always fun and the colour selection beautiful. The BalmJour are a creamy lip stain which makes me happy as I have been loving any non matte lip product lately! I suffer with dry lips so when I discover a new lipstick that is hydrating and glossy… It excites me! In this post I have tried on all the colours for you and given you my first impressions. BalmJour The Packaging
These new lipsticks come in signature The Balm packaging. Comic Style Graphics of retro women saying hello in eight languages. Each lipstick is named after that greeting! Very clever. The women are wearing sunglasses with a man’s reflection shown to imply who they are saying hello to! Tubes are sleek, light weight with matte silver accents. I love it.
Eight New Colours
The colours range from nude to red and I feel they are all very wearable. A nude colour ‘Hola’ being the one I loved the most followed by a beautiful bright pink called ‘Ciao’. They were easy to apply without lip liner. The Balm doe foot applicators always make application a dream. Colour was pigmented on application and the glossy finish was very comfortable on the lips. You will find they have the usual minty tingle that The Balm lip products have which I also quite enjoy! They claim it has a four in one functionality in that it starts as a gloss, is pigmented as a lipstick, soft creamy texture and finishes as a stain. Is that how it is? Yes, absolutely.

How Did The BalmJour Wear?
They did exactly what they said on the tin! Creamy, hydrating formula that faded to a satin finish first and then a stain. I applied once in the morning and later in the day just applied a lip balm over the stain. I loved this affect. You know I am embracing my freckles this summer. With the stain I got a hint of colour but you could still see the freckles on my lips which I loved! As you can see my lips were left smooth and hydrated.
Would I Recommend To My Sister?
