YSL All Hours Foundation – A Review

The YSL All Hours Foundation is the newest addition to my foundation collection. I had been trying a sample pot that I got on counter in Debenhams and I loved the finish of it on my skin. Last week, after trying it several times I went back and purchased a full size bottle. My love for high end foundations has always been there. In recent months I have been wearing a lot of budget friendly foundations. However, nothing feels quite like seeing a luxury brand sitting on your dresser.

The YSL All Hours Foundation tempted me back to the pricey side and in this instance I do think it was worth it. The packaging is absolutely beautiful. The formula is easy to work with and it gives great coverage.

I was intrigued by this foundation when I saw it on social media. I am forever searching for foundations that will last me through a 12 hour shift. A difficult ask of most as I have an oily t zone where product can separate and slide off. I went to Debenhams and the woman on counter kindly gave me two colours to try. The shade I went back to purchase was B30. It suits my skin when very lightly faked tanned and has a neutral undertone. No pink! So important for us Irish Gals.

This applies beautifully to the skin. It gives a medium to full coverage depending on your application tool. The foundation covers everything. Spots, broken veins, most of my freckles and anything else I don’t want seen. It doesn’t dry down too matte. Instead you are left with a lovely satin finish. The All Hours Foundation lasts a reasonable length of time on my skin.

If I am just going about my daily activities, it lasts really well. Working a 12 hour shift and I do get some shine and separation around my nose after 7-8 hours. Most foundations do this to me however so I cant say it was the All Hours especially. One little touch up of powder and it is back to looking like new. If you have very dry skin you will need to use a hydrating primer. Any normal to oily skin girls will love this. If your skin is very very oily then I’m not sure how long this will last unless you powder it down very well.

Will you be trying it? You can buy from Debenhams here.
