The Nude Beach Palette is the newest offering from The Balm’s Palette family. The colours are bang on trend. Competing with the likes of The Naked Heat in terms of warm smokey shadows, I was eager to see how it would fair. I am a girl who loves a warm smokey eye. I can not resist any shade of copper, cranberry or gold. When The balm sent me The Nude Beach Palette to try? I squealed!
The Nude Beach Packaging
The palette comes in typical Balm packaging. Kitsch, retro prints with eye catching colours. It has a sturdy cardboard base. The palette also has a great mirror on the inside. It is slim enough for travel and light weight. Opening the palette you are greeted by twelve delicious colours.
Each shadow is framed by a character. I love the shade names and how they are placed to preserve the modesty of its companion. They are named most appropriately. See Bold and Brazen? I dare you not to giggle!
The Nude Beach Swatches
I could barely wait to photograph this beauty just to dig my fingers in for swatches. Any beauty blogger will tell of the struggle. Waiting to photograph a pristine palette Verses the urge to swatch is REAL! The palette comes with a nice mix of matte and shimmer shades. All swatched really well. The shadows felt smooth and a single swipe was all that was needed.
Just look at those gold shades? They are so pigmented! I could not wait to put these on my eyes!!
The Verdict
The palette was a dream to use. The colours blended well and required no extra effort to get the pay off I wanted. There is a good mix of transition shades, shimmers and smokey browns to deepen a corner.
Overall I would recommend this palette to a friend. I know we are flooded with warm toned palettes but I feel the gold shadows in this make it stand out a bit from its competitors. You can buy online from Debenhams.
