Are you looking for Cocktails and Tapas in Cork? I may just have the place for you! We recently enjoyed a Spa Day at Escape Spa. As part of our package we had Cocktails and Tapas in Seventy Six On The Mall. I have walked by this palce a thousand times and I have never thought to stop there. I am only sorry I haven’t discovered it sooner. Walking in to the bar you are greeted with soothing tones, bright light and big comfy chairs. We were greeted by our waitress and offered menus.
The Cocktails At Seventy Six On The Mall
Part of our package included a Michael Collins cocktail and a choice of two tapas each. My companions do not drink Gin (whaaat???) and after some persuasion they were able to substitute with a Cosmopolitan. They are both the same price so I’m sure this wasn’t too much trouble. I stuck with the Michael Collins as I’m a gin fan. I was so happy I did! What a cocktail. Gin, lemon juice and soda water. Mixed to perfection, refreshing and morish. I could have happily stayed sipping all night. You can read their Cocktail menu here.
The Tapas At Seventy Six On The Mall
The tapas we chose included Cod Goujons, Croquettes and Fish Cakes. The food was served on slate plates and immediately looked appetising. The portions were very generous and you would wonder HOW you were going to fit it all in. We tried our best of course! The Cod Goujons tasted fresh and crispy. Croquettes made with bacon and cabage were smokey and moreish. My personal favourites were the fish cakes. Yum!!! You can see more of the Tapas menu here.
The Verdict
I was very pleasantly surprised by my new discovery. The cocktails were seriously good and the food fresh and tasty. I will definitely be returning and bringing the Hubby. There is a full Gin menu here, Lunch menu here or Afternoon Tea menu here. Let me know if you try it! Now where should I go next?
