Hello lovelies! Tonight’s post is all about my recent Afternoon Tea and Spa Day at the 5 star Hayfield Manor Hotel. I enjoyed a very relaxing and girly day out with my Mommy and Sister last Sunday. We all work full time and have various commitments so it can be hard to find the time to spend together. We do love a spa day though as it helps us completely relax and leave all of our stress at home. I have had spa treatments in Hayfield Manor before and really enjoyed them. They have introduced a Mineral Boost Full Body Massage and I was eager to try it. My body sometimes feels broken after my job as a nurse so a massage is just what I needed.
We started our day with Afternoon Tea. Now I’d like to consider myself an Afternoon Tea Expert! I love nothing better than a tiny sandwich and a macaron. I had high hopes for Hayfield Manor’s version. When it comes to a 5 star Hotel, you expect nothing but the best. I wasn’t disappointed. It was delicious. There was a very generous supply of sandwiches made with very fresh ingredients, fruit loaf, banana bread, scones, chocolate cake, roulades, matcha cake and macarons. The carrot cake was especially noteworthy!! Thumbs up Hayfield!
After we had our tea, we ventured down to the Spa for our treatments. My mother had a fractured rib and our therapists couldn’t be more accomodating of her needs. She had a facial and scalp massage which she loved. My therapist, Caoimhe was a breath of fresh air. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. She gave me one of the best full body massages I have ever had. The foot and hand massage were heaven. It finished with a scalp massage and I left for the thermal suite feeling beyond relaxed and soothed.
After our treatments we had a light refreshment of yoghurt, fruit and granola. We went outside to the hot tub where we were treated to a glass of prosecco. Bubbles in the sun??? Can i live here please?
We had an amazing day of pampering. I have had my fair share of bad spa treatments so believe me when I say that my praise does not come easy. I would highly recommend a visit for some rest and relaxation.
