The Ignited Eyeshadow Palette is new from Nars. Oh me oh my, it is an absolute beauty. I missed out on the Wanted Palette and it has haunted me. When I saw the brand release a palette with similar tones, I went out of my way to get my hands on it. Literally. It isn’t online here in Ireland yet so I ordered from John Lewis. I then had to use parcel connect to have it delivered. As an aside, I was very impressed with the service. I ordered on Friday and had it in my hands come Tuesday. Anyway, back to the palette. I have a demo using it over on my Instagram page HERE so go check that out. Here I’m going to go through the details, thoughts and swatches from the beauty that is the Ignited Eyeshadow Palette from Nars.
Ignited Eyeshadow Palette Packaging
This limited edition pink themed palette is encased in bright, sturdy signature Nars packaging. The cover artwork looks 3-D, expensive and eye catching. Bright pink and purple on the lid doesn’t exactly represent the contents inside. The shadows are much more muted shades from the pink family. However, the palette size itself is perfect. Fitting in the palm of your hand which makes it easy for packing and travel. The shadows are 1.4g each which is small for the price BUT the formula of the glitter shades must be expensive to make and therefor I feel it justified. It isn’t an everyday palette so I do think the product, despite the size, will last you a long time. You get 12 pans in the palette, which I shall go through next.
Ignited Eyeshdow Palette Shades and Swatches
When you open up the palette you are treated to 12 beautifully wearable eyeshadows. Three matte, three shimmers and six of the most stunning glitter formula shadows. I recently bought the single shadow in Pattaya and feel head over heels in love with the fine glittery finish. Imagine my delight when I found that this palette contains six new shades of this formula. Lets go through all twelve:
Top Row Of Palette
Hammamet I – A soft peachy matte and the lightest shade in the palette. Builds up to nice soft transition.
St Paul De Venice I – Peachy Orange Shimmer shade that is smooth to apply and wears well.
Light Up – A Hardwired shadow formula that looks white in the pan but applies almost colourless, leaving a sparkly finish on the lid.
Atomic – A warm peachy pink hardwired shadow that applies sheer when dry. You can apply wet to build up the base colour. One of my favourites in the palette.
Middle Row Of Palette
Sophia – A medium, matte brown that blends out easily. I could pack it on for a deep colour or sheer it out by blending.
Supernova – A light coral shimmer with a creamy texture. Applies easily with a finger for an easy eye look.
In Heat – A warm mauve hardwired shadow with micro glitter. A little fall out but easy to apply when with wet brush.
Ignition – A pink toned plum with a slightly warm coral under tone hardwired shadow. When applied wet the pigment is stunning.
Bottom Row Of Palette
Noumea – A warm matte brown that blends easily.
Fired Up – A richly pigmented coral pink shimmer. This applies opaque to the lid and blends easily without losing colour payoff. Soft and creamy texture and it lasts really well.
Fuse – A really unique hardwired shadow. A plum brown based with reflects of lavender, silver and gold.
Pointe Noir – A deep plum brown with gold and lavender reflects. Applies easily wet or dry depending on finish. Used wet it appears more metallic.
Final Verdict Ignited Eyeshadow Palette
What can I say? It was love at first sight when I saw it online and that love didn’t fade when I got it even in my hands. I own nothing like this in my current palette collection and I know I will get a lot of use out of it. The hardwired shadow formula has fast become one of my favourite formulas to add sparkle. That alone makes this palette a purchase I won’t regret. You can buy online HERE. The Uk to Ireland delivery service I used is HERE.
