Mii Cosmetics

makeup, mii cosmetics, cherish me,

Have you heard of Mii Cosmetics? No? I hadn’t either until I recently got a chance to have a play around with it. Mii Cosmetics was developed in response to feedback from Salon and Spa customers and designed to enhance your natural beauty. The collection I tried out for the purpose of review is called Cherish Mii. It is a return to the Romantic Age for Spring Summer. It is marketed as a luxury make up brand and the price point reflects this. Was it worth it? Here are my thoughts on the products I’ve tried and the looks I created with them.

I was immediately grabbed by the prettiest eyeshadow palette I had ever seen.  It comes as a quad with one matt ivory shade, two shimmery gold tones and a full on glittery pewter. I couldn’t stop looking at it with the love struck eyes of one who is obsessed with make up!! The price is 32.50 euro which isn’t bad considering MAC eyeshadows are a tenner each and you will repeatedly use all four shades. I hate buying palettes and only using a few shades. With this one, you will get your moneys worth in terms of use. The colours swatched really nicely but how did they apply? I will say that the shimmer shades apply better with fingers rather than a brush as most shimmer shadows do. The matte ivory applies beautifully with a flat brush over primer. Now, the glittery one can be tricky. At first I thought I didn’t like it as it was too chunky applied with a brush and with a finger. I’m not one to give up though!! I found applying it with a wet brush made it the most pigmented shadow and I fell in love!! I created two looks with the palette. One for day time and another for night.

The day time look was fresh and peachy for spring. I used with ivory as a base, then applied the peachy gold all over the lid with my finger. I then used the darker gold to lightly blend out the crease. I paired it with the prettiest peach lipstick from the collection called Charm.

For night time I applied a wash of the glittery pewter with a wet brush and blended it out with the darker gold. I did use a tiny bit of a matte brown from another palette just to smoke out the edges but we all have one of those in our collections so no hardship! I applied a bit of both gold shades to the lower lash line to complete the look. As the eyes were so striking, I paired it with a light pinky nude called Enthral.

The lipsticks in this collection are gorgeous. They retail at 22 euro each. They feel very creamy and comfortable on the lips but have a semi matte/satin finish that lasted really well. I wore Charm to a spa day yesterday and it made it through afternoon tea and a massage. I love both of this lipsticks. I thought the pink would be too pale for me but I mixed it with a nude brown lipliner and it is perfect.

Another gem in this collection is the brow definer. It retails for 24 euro and it has a grooming spooly, brow definer and a highlighter. I love that it has all of the products I need for my brows in one!! The definer is so easy to use, distributes colour evenly and brushes through with ease. I would repurchase this in future for sure.

So there you have it lovelies, My first impressions of Mii Cosmetics. These are just the products I got to try, there are so many more in the range. It should be coming to a salon near you soon. You can check for a stockist in you area HERE.
