When I first saw Make Up Revolution’s Newtral Vs Neutral Palette, I was immediately drawn to the colours. Peachy Pinks with Golds and Browns. It has 16 beautiful shadows with a mix of shimmer and mattes. It comes with a decent quality mirror and sturdy black casing. The price tag of 9.95 might lead you to think that the shadows won’t be of a good quality but you would be wrong!! These are very pigmented and surprisingly easy to blend. I couldn’t wait to get to work and create an eye look with it.
As with any palette, the first thing I do is get about swatching! I find this a great way to test the colour pay off. Starting with the top row I got to work. Now, if I have a criticism off the bat, it’s that the names of the eyeshadows aren’t printed on the palette. They come on a sheet that is so easily lost. Next time MUR, yes? Anyway, the top row of shades have beautiful red tones quite similar to the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette. This is one of my favourite palettes so these colours made me happy!
The bottom row stuns with beautifully creamy shimmers and cool toned Mattes. The gold shimmer is particularly impressive! Very creamy, pigmented and up there with some of the higher end shadows I’ve used.
The look I created with this palette was a warm smokey eye with pink and red tones. The shadows lasted all night and I got a lot of compliments on my eye makeup. What more could you ask of a €9.95 palette?
I loved wearing this look and will dip back into this palette again soon. You can buy it HERE for €9.75.
