When you are visiting Cork, there are ample opportunities to feed yourself some pretty great food. There is something for all palettes and dietary requirements. I’m quite proud of our beautiful city. I rarely get a chance to leisurely stroll around but when I do I love to eat in my favourite haunts. There were times when I’ve travelled abroad, especially to the Uk or USA and thought how cool it would be to have similar eateries here. Then along came Huckleberry Donuts.
Ironically it’s located across from a gym but I have to say if anything was going to make me run faster on that treadmill, it would be the sight of donuts on the opposite side of the road. You are greeted by a really cool interior and an awesome array of donuts. Anyway, onto the donuts!!
We chose six different flavours. The Harvey Dent, Salted Caramel, Caramel and White Chocolate, Jam, Nutella and The 99.
Finn went off and devoured the Nutella one while I enjoyed the Caramel and White Chocolate. Hubby, who hates cakes (I still married him), loved the salted caramel and The Harvey Dent. Each one gets the thumbs up from all of us here!
You need to get there early as once they are sold out, they are gone. I can see why! A gem of a place and a welcome addition to our beautiful city. Find them on South Terrace.
