Cork On Ice

We were invited to the opening weekend of Cork On Ice this weekend and as usual, it did not disappoint! We have been going every year as a Christmas Day out and Finn loves it. When the invite came in he was super excited!!

We dressed in our cozy clothes. I would advice wrapping up in layers as, while its cold, you will soon warm up whizzing around on the ice!! Finn wore head to toe Primark and I wore my new Biker Coat from New Look and Star Boots from Missguided.

When you arrive, you pick up your tickets at the kiosk and walk around to the changing area. You exchange your own shoes for skates and off you go! There are lockers for any valuables so bring a bit of change if you plan on using these. The skates were really clean and fit perfectly based on your shoe size.

To the ice!! We used the kiddies section where there were plenty of aides for the little ones. Skating is supervised and the staff were really pleasant. Helmets are optional for any nervous skaters!

Finn had so much fun and I laughed and laughed. It’s such a nice feeling to feel child like again. When life can be so serious, it’s great to have an activity on our doorstep to lighten the mood!!

When you are finished there is a cafe that serves hot drinks, crepes, Gourmet sausages and cold drinks. It’s the perfect family day out.
