Wedding Guest OOTD

We attended the beautiful wedding of my cousin at the weekend. I bought my dress back in May so the struggle to wear it after holidays, pill withdrawal, birthday celebrations and just plain not going to the gym was REAL!! I’m always super critical of my appearance. For years I never wore spaghetti strap tops or dresses as I hated my arms and boobs. Yes, we are back to that strapless bra issue!! Anyway, this time I felt the fear and did it anyway. Life is a bit too short to not wear the clothes you want to wear!!

The dress was one I fell in love with immediately. I’m a magpie. If it shines or has beads then it’s mine. The dress was a beautiful grey colour with gold accent embellishment. It still gave shape while hiding a multitude. I got over the bra issue by not wearing one thanks to my age old trick of taping them. Don’t knock it! Kim K is a fan! The dress is no longer available online but there is a nude pink version on the Littlewoods website. Keep an eye on my Depop as I’ll be posting mine for sale soon.

I think my favourite part of the whole thing was my shoes. Oh man they are beautiful. Also a River Island purchase from May. Rose gold heaven and surprisingly comfortable.

I’m not a fascinater type of girl. I’ve only ever worn one in my life but when I saw this grey birdcage style in Douglas Village I knew it would add the finishing touch to my wedding outfit.

The bag was €8 from Primark and my lippy was my favourite Tom Ford shade in “Pussycat”. Playing on the magpie again, I painted my nails Gold with a gorgeous Sally Hansen Gel varnish. Only one coat and it dries almost straight away. Hello!

We had an amazing day with family. Garryvoe Hotel is a beautiful venue. Lots of space, the decor is beautiful and the food was seriously good.

Hope you all had a fabulous BH weekend ❤️
